day 7 - Gator Keeps Me On Track

It’s Day 7 of 333 days of conscious crafting, and today, my mini Doxie Gator is pushing me to go to the craft room at the crack of dawn.

To stay in the routine of publishing a blog post for the previous day’s crafting, I make my coffee, grab my guard dog, and venture out to the craft room/she shed/beehive (cuz that’s where the queen bee resides hehe). Gator is getting used to this. He has different toys out there and a screen door so he can keep an eye on the morning dove activity.

This morning, I was dragging my feet and made the mistake of sitting down on the couch with my coffee. Whoa, he was not pleased. He started barking and chewing on squeaky toys (he knows he has to be quiet early in the morning when everyone else is sleeping), so to shut him up, we went to the Hive (definitely calling it that now) where he dropped his loud toy and positioned himself in front of the screen door so he can keep an eye on his property.

So today I…

  1. Procrastinated frogging J’s hat. Instead, I mended a toy for Gator.

  2. Became a little obsessed with Typewriter and worked on it a bunch before work.

  3. Fully finished the remaining 9 pillowcases. Most of them are Peanuts, for Christmas presents. So it’s nice to have some gifts completed early!

When I started that morning…

His monster hand had a boo boo.
