day 3 - A New Start
It’s Day 3 of 333 days of conscious crafting, and I know what you’re thinking… You’ve already started something new!! Girl!
I know, I know. But I did do it consciously! Yesterday I frogged an old half-finished project. Since it’s Cascade Eco+ in a gorgeous burgundy, and the days are getting colder, and I want to knit something thicker than sock yarn (which is another current project), I chose to purchase Typewriter from Brooklyn Tweed and made a new start. I’m really proud of myself for doing it in a way that isn’t flippant and impulsive. Plus, it’s for me!
So today I…
Started Typewriter. I got through all of the German short rows before going to work!
Finished the ribbing on J’s hat. Onward to endless stockinette on size 1 needles!
Found two baby quilts that only have the binding left, but I quit because I didn’t wash the fabric first, and the navy was rubbing off on my hands. These are easily ten years old, and I certainly knew better. I always prewash my quilting fabric, but I obviously wasn’t thinking. These need to get washed and bound, pronto!
Oh Stockinette… At least it doesn’t require brain cells!
My Typewriter start!!
