Hat for a friend

  • Yarn: Cascade Heritage Sock in Pine

  • Gauge: 9 sts per inch with size 1 (2.25mm) needles

  • Needles: size 0 (2mm) for ribbing and size 1 (2.25mm) for stockinette

  • Date Started: 11/11/25

  • Progress: 50%

I have a very good friend with a rather large noggin, which says a lot coming from me. I’m a medium-sized woman with a giant head and several giant-headed children.

I restarted this after test-fitting on him and realizing it was a bit snug.

I cast on 184 sts and did 2x2 ribbing for 30 rnds.

Switched to size 1 needles and knit in stockinette until it measured about 8-8.5 inches.

Will update when I start decreases.
